With the win, Dominican improves to 9-1 on the season while the Fighting Knights drop to 5-4.
The Chargers used a trey from senior guard Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) to take a 17-9 lead with 11:46 left in the first half, but Lynn rallied with a 14-3 run to push ahead 27-22 with 6:13 to play. DC's offense counterd by closing out the first half on a 15-5, including a buzzer beating three-point bucket from sophomore Brandt Roundtree (Plainfield, N.J.) run to claim a 37-32 lead at the intermission.
The score was tied at 50-all with 12:24 left in regulation when Dominican charged ahead with a 21-7 run to rebuild a 71-57 advantage which turned into the 76-60 win.
Senior guard Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) led all scorers with 19 points (8-14 from the floor) and five rebounds.
Rodwell finished with 12 points (3-6 from the three-point arc), while Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) grabbed seven rebounds and 12 points in the win.
Guard Jonathan Garcia (Springfield, Mass.) had 10 points, seven boards and a team best five assists.
Dominican will take on nationally ranked Nova Southeastern University on Saturday afternoon.
