CONWAY, TARPEH AND PAPANICOLAS EARN TOP CACC MEN'S SOCCER HONORS

NEW HAVEN, CT - Nyack College junior midfielder Tim Conway has been honored as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Player of the Year in balloting released today. Wilmington College freshman forward Sargbah Tarpeh was named the Rookie of the Year and Wildcat head coach Nick Papanicolas was selected as the Coach of the Year. Nyack and Bloomfield College tied in balloting for the annual Team Sportsmanship Award. The conference's nine head coaches conducted the voting for the awards.

Conway, who hails from Billerica, MA, enjoyed an outstanding junior campaign and finished the regular-season ranked first in the CACC for total points (36), points per-game (2.00), goals (16), goals per-game (0.89) and second in shots per-game (4.72). He concluded the season with a four-goal, one assist performance in an 8-5 victory over Concordia.

Tarpeh was not only the Rookie of the Year but was also the only freshman voted to the All-CACC first team. The Philadelphia, PA native, was tied for third in the conference in total points (28) and points per-game (1.47), tied for second for goals scored (12) and fourth with 4.05 shots per-game.

Papanicolas led the Wildcats to a second-place finish in the CACC regular-season standings with a 5-1-2 record to go with an 11-3-4 overall mark. The Wildcats entered the week ranked sixth in the NCAA Division II Northeast Region rankings.

The complete All-CACC Men's Soccer team is listed below. Dominican College and Caldwell College led the league with five picks each. The Chargers had four named to the first team and the Cougars had three first-team picks. The future is bright for the CACC, as only one senior was voted to the first team, along with four on the second team.
