Eight Named 2017-18 CACC Men's Basketball All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 28, 2018) -- Eight student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2017-18 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The eight honorees represent seven schools throughout the league.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
USciences led the way with a pair of honorees, including Michael Fox (3.96) and Brandon Hathaway (3.85). It marked the second CACC academic honor for Fox this month, as a few weeks ago he was named the Top XVI Award winner for posting the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site of the conference men's basketball championship. Both Fox and Hathaway were named to the All-Academic team for the second time in their respective careers.
The remaining six honorees include Daan Vianen (Caldwell University, 3.86), Ethan Smith Jr. (Dominican College, 3.52), Milos Djeric (Georgian Court University, 3.81), Josh Bradanese (Jefferson, 3.57), Junior Graham (Nyack College, 3.71) and Joe Lockwood (Post University, 3.74).

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
