WARRIORS OUTLAST BLOOMFIELD ON THE ROAD, 66-62 IN CACC ACTION

NYACK, NY - The Bears women's basketball team lost their third-straight game Wednesday evening, dropping a 66-62 battle to Nyack College. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) setback at Bowman Gym left Bloomfield with a 4-10 league record and a, 5-18 overall mark. The Warriors, who wore pink to raise awareness for Breast Cancer, improved to 4-19 and captured just their second CACC victory (2-12) of the year.

The home team used a, 21-11 second quarter to open up a 35-22 advantage over the Bears heading into halftime. Bloomfield struck back in the 3rd, posting a 20-10 frame but still found themselves down by three (45-42) heading into the final period. Back to back three-pointers drew the Bears even (52-52) with over five minutes left to play but the Warriors answered with a long-range jumper of their own and went on to claim the CACC win.

Sophomore guard, Jonise Ledbetter (Willingboro, NJ) saw her career-best go for a team-high as she netted 8-of-12 shots from the field for 17 points.  Jaylah Bennett (Newark, NJ) registered 16 points and senior forward, Deja McKenzie (Baltimore, MD) led the way with 9 rebounds to go along with 13 points.
