Box Score Hot Shooting Felician Downs JCSU Men, 91-81

Charlotte, N.C. (Nov. 19, 2016) – Visiting Felician University shot 60% from three-point range en route to a 91-81 win over Johnson C. Smith University in men's basketball play at the JCSU Tip-Off Classic at Brayboy Gym on Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons Terrell Spaulding was a perfect 4-of-4 from beyond the arc while teammate Jamar Robinson hit two three pointers on back-to-back possessions to begin the second half to put the Falcons up 49-36.  The Golden Bulls would trim the Falcon lead to six points at 62-56 at the 11:04 mark but were not able to get any closer the rest of the way.  Felician steadily built the lead to as many as 16 points with 1:36 remaining and held on for the 91-81 win.

JCSU got 21 points from junior guard Christian Kirchman (Roanoke, Va.).  Fellow guard Robert Davis (West Friendship, Md.) had 19 while Gabon Williams (Charlotte, N.C.) chipped in 13.

Collectively, the Golden Bulls shot 49.2% (31-of-63) from the field while Felician shot 62.7% (32-of-51) on the afternoon.

JCSU falls to 2-2 on the season while Felician improves to 2-2.
