LAKEWOOD, N.J. – After a long day of whirlwind games the Bloomfield College Bears softball team saw their 2016 season come to an end after three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning gave the #4 seeded Tigers of Holy Family University a 3-2 victory in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament Friday afternoon at the GCU Field 1.
 
The Bears came one game away from advancing to the Championship Finals and finished their season with a 25-23 overall record under first year head coach, Ashton Corley. The Tigers improved to 30-16 for the year and will take on the Wildcats of Wilmington University, who handed Bloomfield their first loss of the double-elimination tournament earlier in the day, at 12:00 pm on Saturday for the 2016 CACC Softball Championship.
