Men's Basketball Now 2-2 After 72-64 Loss At Dominican (N.Y.) College
Purple Knights Right Back In Action On Sunday Versus Caldwell
Orangeburg, N.Y.-Three members of the University of Bridgeport men's basketball team reached double-digit scoring, but it was enough to pull out a victory, as the Purple Knights dropped a 72-64 decision to the host Dominican (N.Y.) College Chargers in the Daniel Sullivan Memorial Classic on Saturday night. With the defeat, UB is now an even 2-2 on the year. The Chargers raise their overall mark to 3-1.
Senior Darian David (Bronx, N.Y.) led the Purple Knights with 14 points, and he also added five rebounds and four assists.
David was joined in double figures by Kourtney Goff (Sr., Rochester, N.Y.) who netted 11 points in his first action of the season and Dezmon Hickman (Sr., Collinsville, Ill.) contributed 10 points.
Senior Omari Howard (Bronx, N.Y.) led all rebounders in the contest grabbing nine boards.
Dominican's Cory Quimby led all scorers on the night with 23 points.
The Purple Knights will wrap up play in the Daniel Sullivan Memorial Classic on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. when Bridgeport faces Caldwell College in Dominican's Hennessy Center.
