NYACK, N.Y. – Nine different Bears lodged their names in the scorers' column as the women's basketball team roared over the Warriors of Nyack College, 73-56 Wednesday on the road at the Bowman Gym. Zhane Robinson (Newark, N.J.) netted a game-high 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field as Bloomfield picked up their 8th Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory. Reigning CACC Player of the Week, Tianna Smith (Spring Valley, N.Y.) chipped in 14 points, 7 boards, along with a pair of assists and steals each while Jahniece Jaffe (Egg Harbor, N.J.)  poured in 14 off the bench including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.

How It Happened

• The Bears led from end to end as the visitors began the game with an 8-0 run to put the Warriors on their heels early. The 1^st quarter ended with a three-pointer from Alexia' Tucker (Halifax, Va.) and Bloomfield enjoyed a 24-14 advantage
• The 2^nd quarter began as the 1^st ended as Smith buried a three-pointer and Bloomfield was off to the races. The Warriors managed only 9 points in the frame and halftime saw the home team down by a 23-point deficit (46-23)
• The tandem of Robinson and Smith had 12 and 11 points respectively and accounted for nine of the Bears' seventeen field goals at the break
• The third quarter saw Bloomfield's lead balloon to 28 (57-29) after a jumper from senior, Gabriella Bennett (Wilingboro, N.J.). The Warriors battled back and whittled down the visitors' advantage to 60-40 by the end of the period
• Bloomfield cruised in the fourth quarter and secured their third straight league victory

 
Up Next: Bloomfield will welcome the Clippers of Concordia College to the Den for another CACC battle on Saturday afternoon. The North Division teams are set to begin their match up at 1:00 pm.
