WILDCATS UPEND MEN'S LACROSSE
Newark, Del. (4/24/19) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this afternoon to host, Wilmington University, 14-13 in a game played at the WU Athletics Complex.

With the loss, Dominican falls to 3-10 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
Junior attacker and CACC Player of the Week, Nicholas D'Alessandro (Levittown, N.Y.) led Dominican with five goals and two assists for seven game points.
Ryan Fischer (Monroe, N.Y.) added three goals and one assist, while Daniel Carson (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) had two goals and two assists in the loss.
WU led 10-5 with 8:20 left in the third quarter when Dominican began a four goal run as they netted two man-up goals off the sticks of Fischer and Carson to make the score 10-7 at the end of three quarters of play.
DC continued their run with the first three scores of the fourth quarter as D'Alessandro opened the quarter with a goal and Lorcan Tehan (Sparkill, N.Y.) followed two and half minutes later with a goal off the pass from Marcos Pierce (Middleburg, Va.). D'Alessandro tied the game with 9:42 left on the man-up opportunity to make the score 10-10.
Over the next five minutes, the Chargers outscored the Wildcats 3-2 to claim a 13-12 lead with 4:41 on the clock. WU closed out the game with the final two scores for the 14-13 win.
Patrick Gifford (Galloway, N.J.) made five saves in 36:40 in the net, while John Rooney (Bellmore, N.Y.) had four saves.
The Chargers will conclude the regular season this coming Saturday as they host Georgian Court University on Senior Day at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.
