Torne Valley, N.Y. (4/12/19) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this evening, 23-12, to the visiting Lions of Georgian Court University.
With the win Georgian Court improves to 10-4 overall and 6-0 in conference playe while the Lady Chargers are now 3-7 overall and 3-3 in the CACC.
Junior midfielder, Jenna Fox led the Lady Chargers in scoring with five goals and one assist for six game points and added a night best 10 draw controls.
Jenna Kelleher (Holbrook, N.Y.) and Alayna Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) each scored three times in the loss.
Goalie Rebecca Nutting (Marcellus, N.Y.) made 10 saves.
Georgian Court was led by Samantha Fernandez with 10 goals.
Dominican returns to action on Monday afternoon when they travel to non-conference opponent, St. Thomas Aquinas College.
