Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

POST RUNS PAST BEARS IN 2-0 WIN AT FOLEY FIELD

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Bloomfield College men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 setback against Post University Wednesday evening under the lights of Foley Field. The Bears dropped their third Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game of the season and now sit at 2-3-2 in league contests, 3-5-2 overall.  The Eagles improved to 4-5-1 overall and 3-1-1 in conference action with the road victory.

Post struck first on a PK at the 13:00 minute as Mamadee Kamara sent a shot into the upper left hand corner of the net past Bloomfield's keeper, Wilson Cisneros (Bronx, N.Y.) for an earlier 1-0 lead.  The score held until the halftime break with the Bears stepping up the offensive pressure in the period but had no goals to show for their efforts.

Post went up 2-0 in the 61st minute when Cisneros was unable to completely coral a shot from Abdallah Bah and the Eagles striker made the home team pay, burying the ball into the back of an empty net. The Bears outshot the visitors 14-8 for the game while corner kicks where even at 6-6 and at the end of the match, Post held the final advantage on the scoreboard.

Next on the schedule, Bloomfield will travel down the Turnpike on Saturday to Philadelphia to take on the Griffins of Chestnut Hill. The CACC battle will feature a rematch of last season's conference championship as the Griffins and Bears showdown is set to begin at 3:00 pm.
