LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Bloomfield College men's soccer team saw their 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament run come to a close on Friday when the Jefferson Rams handed them a 4-0 defeat in a semifinal match-up. The postseason battle featured one goal in the first half and then the #1 seeded Rams broke out for three goals in the final period.
 
The Bears managed 15 shots for the day, with seven on goal but couldn't get any into the net behind the Rams keeper, Ben Sauer who picked up his 9^th save of the year. The CACC Rookie of the Year, Regsan Watkins, registered two shots on goal for Bloomfield while Bryan Medina placed three of his four shots on target.
 
The win improved Jefferson to 15-4-1 for the season and a date in the CACC Championship game on Sunday against Goldey-Beacom College. The teams will face-off for the 'Chip' at 10:00 am on the campus of Georgian Court University, the site of the 2017 CACC Soccer Championships, with the winner earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.  Bloomfield, ranked sixth in the November 1^st NCAA East Region poll will have to wait and see if their post season is extended after the national tournament's Selection Show.
