BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bears women's basketball team welcomed Molloy College to 'The Den' Thanksgiving Weekend for a non-conference match up and fell, 44-41 as the home team dropped their fifth consecutive game to start the 2017-18 campaign. Molloy improved to 3-3 for the season while Bloomfield moved to 0-5 on the year.
The low-scoring affair saw just one Bear,
Deja McKenzie (Baltimore, MD) in double figures with 11 points for the day. Both teams combined for just 33 points (20-13) at the halftime break.
Dayanni Cochran (Las Vegas, NV) chipped in 9 points and five rebounds but the Bears shot a season-low, 22.4 percent (13-of-58) from the field.
The Bears continue the second-leg of a three-game home stand on Wednesday when LIU Post comes to town for a regional battle. The Pioneers will take the court against Bloomfield at 5:30 pm.
