SECOND HALF RALLY LEADS SPARTANS OVER LADY CHARGERS

With the loss, Dominican falls to 3-8 overall, while the Spartan improves to 8-7.
The game was tied at 6-all with 5:21 left in the first half but junior midfielder Jenna Fox (Stony Point, N.Y.) closed out the first half with a free position goal to lift Dominican to the 7-6 edge at the break.
The Lady Chargers opened second half play with three consecutive goals with Fox starting the run with an unassisted goal and Alayna Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) followed with two goals, one assisted by Taylor Sobel (Oradell, N.J.) to increase the lead to 10-6 with 25:33 to play.
STAC responded with two straight goals, but Heegan and Sobel regained a four-goal advantage (12-8) with a little over 21 minutes left in regulation.
Over the next 18 minutes the Spartans went on a 10-0 tear to leap ahead 18-8 before Sobel broke the run with a free-position score and STAC ended the game with final goal for the 19-13 win.
Heegan led Dominican with six goals.
Goalie Rebecca Nutting (Marcellus, N.Y.) made 10 saves in the loss.
DC returns to action on Wednesday evening when they travel to Felician University.
