WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DEFEAT FELICIAN UNIVERSITY
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/27/19) The Dominican College women's basketball team improved to 15-12 overall and 13-5 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after turning back the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician University, 82-66, this evening in a game played on Coach Baxter Court.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/27/19) The Dominican College women's basketball team improved to 15-12 overall and 13-5 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after turning back the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician University, 82-66, this evening in a game played on Coach Baxter Court.
Senior Alpreshia Parker (Pocono Summit, Pa.) led four Lady Chargers in double figures with 18 points and added four rebounds.
Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) tallied 16 points, three steals and three boards, while CACC Player of the Week, Jasmine Gee, (Englewood, N.J.) netted 12 points, a team high five assists and four rebounds.
Senior Ciera Rivera (Pomona, N.Y.) contributed 11 points, two steals and four caroms in the win.
Kayla Diaz led the Golden Falcons with a night best 25 points.
The first quarter saw five tied scores with Guerra hitting a three to knot the score at 16-all with 3:08 left. Rivera converted two free throws with 22 seconds left to give DC the 18-16 edge.
Tied at 26-all with 6:44 left before the intermission, Dominican went on a 12-3 quarter ending run as Guerra scored another trey to give them the 38-29 lead. Parker netted 13 first half points.
Dominican scored 22 points in each of the third and fourth quarters for the fifth win in as many games. DC held their largest lead, 74-53, with 3:24 left in regulation.
The Lady Chargers out rebounded their foes, 37-32 but the Golden Falcons had more second chance points, points in the paint and points on turnovers.
DC will conclude the regular season this coming Saturday as they host both Senior Day and the 18th Annual Sue Heller Memorial Game. Tip-off is scheduled for 2pm against the Warriors of Nyack College.
