BEARS SLIP UP AT HOME AS TIGERS TAKE 3-1 DECISION AT FOLEY FIELD

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Bears women's soccer team suffered a minor setback on Saturday afternoon in a 3-1 loss to the visiting Tigers from Holy Family University. Bloomfield fell behind early and never could find traction to step back into the game.

The Tigers pounced first with a goal in the 17th minute of the opening half. Holy Family (3-0, 1-0 CACC) added two more goals in the 23rd and 26th minutes of play past the Bears keeper, Jessica Larson (Delran, NJ) who made her second start in goal.

Bloomfield (1-2, 0-2 CACC) saw their lone goal come just before halftime when Ashley Ramirez (Wayne, NJ) found Simone McEnough (Neptune, NJ) for a shot past the Tigers' defense and the senior's second of the season. McEnough had missed an opportunity early to score on a penalty kick and the Bears had to settle for the 3-1 deficit at the break.

The teams played a scoreless second half and Holy Family secured the CACC win on the road.

Next up Bloomfield will travel to Bronxville for a showdown with the Clippers on Tuesday. Concordia will roll out the welcome mat for the CACC match up at 3:30 pm.
