MEN'S BASKETBALL CHARGE PAST FELICIAN UNIVERSITY
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/27/19) The Dominican College men's basketball team defeated the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician University, 92-58, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

With the win, Dominican improves to 19-7 overall and 14-4 in the CACC.
Felician falls to 13-12 overall and 11-7 in conference play.
Dominican had the hot hand in the first half as they shot over 50% from the floor, the three point arc and the foul line en route to a 46-29 advantage. DC held the 7-4 edge when a 31-11 run that spanned about 11 minutes gave the Chargers a 23 point lead (38-15) with under seven minutes left in the half. Senior Ian Gardener (Norwalk, Conn.) hit two free throws in the final minute to extend the lead to 17 points at the break.
DC would lead by as many as 38 points in the second half and out rebounded their opponents, 41-36 for the game.
Gardener led three Chargers in double figures with 19 points, five rebounds and two steals.
Junior Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) tallied 17 points (4-9 from the three point arc) and three steals, while Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) netted 15 points and four rebounds.
Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) grabbed a night high 12 rebounds and added eight points in the win.
Zamir Wright led the Golden Falcons with 17 points.
The Charger offense shot 55.0% (33-60) from the floor and 88.2% (15-17) from the foul line for the game.
DC will host the Nyack College Warriors this coming Saturday in their regular season finale in the 31st Annual Bobby Mulligan Memorial Game and Senior Day on Coach Baxter Court.
