CHARGERS LOSE TO BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/26/19) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost to the Bloomfield College Bears, 3-1 (18-25, 25-23, 21-25, 13-25) this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/26/19) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost to the Bloomfield College Bears, 3-1 (18-25, 25-23, 21-25, 13-25) this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 0-9 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
After losing the first set, the Chargers used a kill from senior Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and a Bear attack error to put them at set point, 24-22. Following a BC kill, Knopf closed out the set with a kill to tie the match at 1-1.
The Bears answered back with wins in sets three and four for the 3-1 match win.
Senior Malia Robinson (Jersey City, N.J.) led Dominican with 10 kills and added a .217 attack percentage.
Outstide hitter Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.) added nine kills, while Knopf contributed eight kills and a team high 11 defensive digs.
Dominican returns to action next Wednesday when they travel to Nyack College.
