Chestnut Hill College advances to face #1 Concordia College (NY) in a 1:00 p.m. CACC Championship match tomorrow, Sunday, October 25.

Chestnut Hill College (9-1) grabbed the early advantage with wins at number one doubles (Scholtze/Williams-Mulesa, W, 8-2) and number two doubles (Josso/Owens, W, 8-4). But Post University (11-5) kept the match competitive with an 8-5 win at number three doubles and individual victories at number two and number one singles.

The Eagles, however, erased the advantage with a 6-3, 7-5, win at number two singles. A comeback win (1-6, 6-2, 6-1) at number six singles from freshman Julia Bellon (Indaiatuba, Brazil) rejuvenated the Griffin cause only for the Eagles to cut the deficit back to one with a three-set win at number one singles (3-6, 6-4, 6-2). The clincher came at number four singles, where senior Axé Owens (Trenton, N.J.) emerged victorious, 7-5, 7-5.
