How It Happened
  • The Bears spotted the home team the first bucket of the game on a three pointer and then reeled off the next six points to take an early 6-3 advantage. Bloomfield settled for an 11-10 lead at the end of the 1st quarter as both teams struggled shooting the ball in the opening frame
  • The 2nd quarter yielded similar fruits as the visitors managed to come out on top, 24-21 by the halftime break. Each team made just eight shots from the floor across the first two quarters and neither shot more than twenty-six percent from the field
  • Bloomfield used a 10-2 run midway through the 3rd period and built a ten-point advantage (41-31) fueled by eight points from McKenzie as the sophomore dominated the quarter. The Bears swung the momentum of the game and put the Lions on their heels down, 47-35 by the end of the stanza. The CACC North Division leaders saw their DMV forward end the 3rd quarter with 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor
  • The Bears sealed the deal in the 4th quarter and captured their 5th consecutive win and 7th straight CACC victory with just six more games remaining in the regular season

Up Next: Bloomfield will hibernate for a week before continuing their four-game CACC road trip. The third leg of the away-from-home swing will feature a trip back to the 'City of Brotherly Love' this time to face the Tigers of Holy Family University on Saturday, Feb. 4th at 1:00 pm.
