EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomfield College volleyball team suffered a setback Friday night on the road against the Warriors of East Stroudsburg University (ESU). The 3-0 loss marked the Bears 7^th straight non-conference defeat of the 2017 campaign. Bloomfield's overall record dropped to 2-7 while the Warriors improved to 6-2 on the season with the win.

The match took one hour in total as ESU seized control early and dominated the 1^st set 25-11. The Bears had an off night with the visitors mustering just five kills in the opening frame against five errors. In the second set Bloomfield managed seven kills but the Warriors prevailed, 25-15. The home team closed out the match with a decisive 25-10 victory in the final set to secure the regional sweep.

The Bears can find encouragement in the conclusion of their non-conference scheduled opponents for a while and focus now on league play when they face Dominican College on Tuesday, September 19^th. The Chargers come galloping into town for the teams' second meeting of the season as Bloomfield swept their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division rivals to start the 2017 campaign at the Skyhawk Invitational. Game time for Tuesday's showdown is slated for 7:00 pm.
