NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 12, 2023) -- Twenty-four (24) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2023 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Eight of the 10 schools that competed in the sport in 2023 had at least one student-athlete named to the academic squad.

CACC Champion Thomas Jefferson University and Holy Family University each led the way with five honorees apiece. Felician University had four honorees. 

NOTES ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
♦ Three student-athletes posted perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point averages (Georgian Court University's Brenna Sullivan, HFU's Amber Fisgaer and Ashley Fisgaer).

♦ Eight student-athletes notched GPAs of 3.90 or higher.

♦ Jefferson's Olivia Monahon and Lydia Shaw were named to the CACC Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team for the third time in their respective careers.

♦ Eight were named to the unit for the second time in their respective careers.

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 12 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Bloomfield College, University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican (N.Y.) University, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
