Jefferson's Dave Thomas Named 2018 CACC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 5, 2018) -- Jefferson Women's Cross Country Head Coach Dave Thomas on Monday was named the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Voting for the award was conducted by the league's 14 Directors of Athletic Communication.

Thomas earned the award after guiding the Rams to their fifth-consecutive conference championship back on Oct. 28, at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. Under his guidance, Jefferson has developed not only into one of the top programs in the conference, but also in the region. Jefferson has claimed 10 of the last 11 CACC titles with Thomas at the helm.

The Rams turned in three first-place finishes this fall, including the Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship (Sept. 8), The Osprey Open (Oct. 22) and the CACCs.
