WilmU's Keith Jones Named 2018 CACC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 5, 2018) -- Wilmington University Women's Cross Country Head Coach Keith Jones on Monday was named the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Voting for the award was conducted by the league's 14 Directors of Athletic Communication.

Jones earned the award after guiding the Wildcats to their third conference championship in the last four years back on Oct. 28, at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. Under his guidance, Wilmington has developed not only into one of the top programs in the conference, but also in the region. 

Wilmington turned in four first-place finishes this fall, including the WUXC Invite (Sept. 1), Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship (Sept. 8), UD Blue & Gold Invite (Oct. 6) and the CACCs.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
