Forty-Nine Student-Athletes Named to 2019 CACC Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 26, 2019) -- Forty-nine (49) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The total represents all 14 schools that sponsor the sport at the varsity level in the CACC.

Six student-athletes on the tem posted perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point averages including Bloomfield College's Meadeau Cunningham, Caldwell University's Samantha Ashton, Georgian Court University's Trilby Kite, Goldey-Beacom College's Autumn Keller, Holy Family University's Jillian Boyle, and Wilmington University's Emma Kongevold.

Twenty-four (24) student-athletes qualified for the CACC Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team for at least the second time in their respective careers, while seven of those made it for the third time.

Caldwell and Georgian Court each led the way with six honorees apiece on the squad. GCU claimed the 2019 CACC Championship this past weekend, while Caldwell advanced to the semifinals of the tournament.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
