NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 19, 2018) -- Fifty-two (52) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 52 honorees represent all 14 schools in the CACC that compete in the sport at the varsity level.

Georgian Court University led the way with eight honorees on the list, while Jefferson followed with seven and 2018 CACC Champion Holy Family University was next with six. GCU was led by senior Jessica Sipili, who sported a team-best cumulative grade point average of 3.89 in her major of psychology. It marked the third year in a row Sipili was named to the CACC All-Academic Team.

Jefferson's top mark was Mariah Cadzow, as she owns a 3.95 GPA in her major of health sciences. HFU was paced by Jillian Boyle and her perfect 4.0 GPA in general education/special education. Boyle was also named the CACC Top XVI Award Winner at the women's volleyball conference championship back in November for having the highest GPA at the final's site.

Boyle was one of four student-athletes on the all-academic team who earned perfect 4.0 marks, as she was joined by Wilmington University's Emma Kongevold (junior, elementary education major), Goldey-Beacom College's Lindsay Przywara (sophomore, finance major) and University of the Sciences's Brooke Witmer (senior, pharmacy major). Ten (10) student-athletes earned GPAs of 3.90 or higher on the 2018 CACC All-Academic Team.

Twenty-eight (28) of the 52 student-athletes on the list were multiple-time honorees on the all-academic team. Eleven (11) of the 28 honorees were named to the CACC All-Academic squad for the third time in their respective careers.
