LAKEWOOD, N.J. (November 21, 2015) -- Skylar German totaled a team-high 15 kills and hit .520 to lead the Post University volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Bloomfield College and the program's second-consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Championship on Saturday afternoon at The Wellness Center on the Georgian Court University campus.

The top-seeded Eagles raised the CACC Championship trophy and banner for the second time in as many seasons, while also locking up the league's automatic to the NCAA Division II Tournament East Regional in two weeks at a site to be determined. Post improved to 25-9, while Bloomfield capped its season with an impressive 24-6 mark.

Post was brilliant the entire afternoon in picking up a 25-14 win in set one, followed by winning scores of 25-21 and 25-19 in sets two and three.

German's 15-kill output came just 24 hours after she pounded out a career-best 29 in the team's semifinal win over Wilmington University on Friday. Her two impressive showings allowed her to be named the most valuable player of the tournament, while also garnering a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Two other teammates joined German on the All-Tournament, including Morgan Griffin and Brianna Root. Griffin had a dozen kills and a .474 hitting percentage, while Root totaled 46 assists on the day and 113 combined during the semis and final.

Valerie Bermudez logged 10 kills for Bloomfield, as both herself and Diannmarie Rivera locked up spots on the All-Tournament Team.

Post put together runs of 7-0 and 6-0 during the first set to pull out the 11-point win, however, the second set was a back-and-forth affair. Bloomfield used several kills from Alex Glasper during the set to close the gap on the Eagles, but Post used a late run to take a 2-0 lead heading into the third set.

The Eagles came out strong in the third, but the Bears countered with four-straight points to even the score. Once again, Post responded with an extended run of points before going on for the six-point victory.

Kristine Ripson added 10 kills and a pair of blocks for Post. German logged four blocks and three service aces to key the win.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
