NEW HAVEN, Conn. (July 26, 2019) -- Post University will serve as the host institution for the semifinals and final of the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Tennis Championship, as announced on Friday by Commissioner Dan Mara. The dates for the championship include the first round on Tuesday, Oct. 22, with the semifinals and final on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 25-26. The semis and final will be held at the Edgewood Bath & Tennis Club in Middlebury, Conn.

The top-six teams from the CACC regular season standings will advance to the conference's post-season tournament. The top-two seeds will get first-round byes, while the sixth seed will travel to face the third seed in one first-round match on Tuesday the 22nd, followed by the fifth seed at the fourth seed. First-round matches will be held at the sites of the highest seeds.

Friday the 25th will feature the semifinals, as the No. 1 seed will face the winner of the 4/5 match in the day's first contest at 10 a.m. Saturday's second semifinal will feature the No. 2 seed taking on the 3/6 winner at 1 p.m. The two semifinal winners will advance to Sunday's championship final, which will be held at 12 p.m. The winner of the 2019 CACC Championship will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament, which will be held in early May 2020. 

Post will be hosting the women's tennis championship for the third-consecutive season, as Edgewood Bath & Tennis has hosted both the 2017 and 2018 championships.

Wilmington University enters the 2019 season as the defending CACC Champion in women's tennis. The Wildcats defeated Concordia College in the 2018 final in Middlebury.
