Jefferson Women's Soccer Tabbed as Fifth Seed in Upcoming NCAA Division II East Region Tournament

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (November 19, 2019) – The Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (15-5) is the fifth seed in the East Region and will begin NCAA Tournament play versus fourth-seeded Stonehill (11-4-4) on Friday, November 22 at 3 p.m. The host for the matchup is top-seeded Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y.

The Rams won their fourth CACC Championship on Sunday, defeating Georgian Court, 2-1, to earn an automatic bid to the national tournament. It is Jefferson's third NCAA appearance in program history and the first since 2015.

The advancing team from Albany will face the other remaining team from the East Region on December 5 or 6 in the Round of 16. On the other side of the region, second-seeded Mercy hosts third-seeded Molloy, sixth-seeded Bentley and seventh-seeded Southern New Hampshire.
