NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 27, 2018) -- Four Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's soccer standouts on Tuesday earned All-East Region accolades from the United Soccer Coaches, as announced by the national coaches organization. The list included Goldey-Beacom College's Kelly Mejia (2nd team), Georgian Court University's Heather Arbachesky and Anissia Fucci (both 2nd team), and Holy Family University's Bree Rock (3rd team).

Mejia was named the CACC Defensive Player of the Year earlier this season, as she helped to anchor one of the top back lines in the region and nation in Division II. She started all 20 matches for the Lightning, as they finished second in the CACC and reached the semifinals of the conference tournament for the second-straight year.

Arbachesky was named the CACC Player of the Year, as she ranked second in the league in goals (16) and points (40), and was a major factor in leading the Lions to the conference regular season championship. 

Fucci was placed on the All-CACC First Team after helping to guide GCU to the regular season crown, and logged 11 goals and three assists for 25 points. Her five game-winning tallies were third most in the CACC.

Rock led the CACC with 19 goals and 44 points this season, and was placed on the All-CACC Second Team. She was a driving force behind the Tigers reaching the finals of the CACC tournament.

Nominating and voting for the USC All-Region teams was conducted by the head coaches throughout the East Region and are dues paying members of the association.
