NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 23, 2023) -- Chestnut Hill College standout Maddie Gannon on Thursday was named the 2022-23 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Bowler of the Year, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Gannon, who also earned First-Team All-CACC status, highlighted a list of several award winners, as voting for the awards was conducted by the league's six head coaches in the sport.

Joining Gannon as a major award winner was Wilmington University's Carolece Henry (CACC Rookie of the Year) and Caldwell University's Ken Yokobosky (CACC Coach of the Year). Yokobosky's squad was also named the CACC Team Sportsmanship Award winner for demonstrating outstanding class and character throughout the season.

Gannon leads the CACC with an 18.949 overall individual scoring average this season, while also pacing the conference with an overall individual frame fill percentage of 81.6 percent. She also tops the CACC in traditional format frame fill percentage (81.1%), baker format scoring average (19.076), and baker format frame fill percentage (81.9%).

Henry ranks among the CACC leaders in several categories including overall scoring average (7th, 18.242), 6th in overall frame fill percentage (77.9%), 9th in traditional format scoring average (18.088), traditional format frame fill percentage (8th, 77.1%), 6th in baker format scoring average (18.340) and 4th in baker format frame fill percentage (78.4%).

The major award winners and all-conference honorees will be recognized at tonight's CACC Women's Bowling Championship Banquet on the Chestnut Hill College campus. The inaugural CACC Women's Bowling Championship will be held this Friday-Sunday at Our Town Alley in East Norriton, Pa.
