NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 26, 2019) -- A trio of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's basketball standouts were recently named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Team, as announced by the national organization. Included in the trio were Jefferson's Jessica Kaminski and University of the Sciences' Irisa Ye being placed on the All-East First Team, while USciences' Alex Thomas garnered a spot on the second team. Nominating and voting for the regional team was conducted by the nearly 40 sports information throughout the East Region of Division II (CACC, ECC, NE10).

Kaminski, who was named the CACC Player of the Year, helped guide the Rams to the conference championship and a spot in the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament as the No. 3 seed. She ranked fourth in the conference in scoring at 16.7 points per game.

Ye ranked second in the league at 17.0 points per game, as she helped lead the Devils to the CACC South Division Regular Season Championship. Her performance throughout the year enabled USciences to rank first in the NCAA Division II East Region and host the regional tournament.

Thomas averaged 14.0 points per game during her senior season at USciences. The regional honor capped an amazing career that saw her earn All-CACC honors each of her four seasons in Philadelphia.
