Holy Family Women’s Basketball up Three Spots in New Coaches’ Poll
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (January 22, 2013) - The Holy Family women's basketball team jumped three spots from last week's ranking of 14th in the latest edition of the USA Today Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll released today. The appearance marks the Tiger's eight straight top 25 ranking in the poll.
The Tigers (15-2, 9-1) picked up their third straight victory after defeating USciences, 60-56, last Tuesday in the team's lone game of the week. With the victory, Holy Family has recorded wins in 15 of its last 16 games to earn a ranking of 11 in this week's poll. Senior Erin Mann recorded her seventh double-double of the season after scoring 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds versus the Devils.
Holy Family will travel to Chestnut Hill Jan. 23 and host Bloomfield Jan. 26 to close out this week's action. Those games are scheduled for a 6p.m. and 1p.m. tip, respectively.
