Georgian Court Makes It Four CACC Men's T&F Titles in Five Years

LAKEWOOD, N.J. (May 6, 2019) -- The 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Spring Championship Festival came to a conclusion on Sunday with the 2019 CACC Men's Track & Field Championship meet, which was claimed by Georgian Court University with a first-place score of 255.5 points in Lakewood, N.J. It marked the fourth title in the last five years for the Lions and the program's first since 2017.

Several top individual performances highlighted the day, as individual champions braved the damp rain to claim CACC title status. The list of individual men's champions is as follows:

Men's 100 Meters: MarQuel Davis (Bloomfield, 10.69)
Men's 200 Meters: MarQuel Davis (Bloomfield, 21.72)
Men's 400 Meters: Tyler Davidson (Bloomfield, 49.32)
Men's 800 Meters: Khalil Lau-Dickinson (Goldey-Beacom, 1:56.37)
Men's 1,500 Meters: Hussein Elmeshad (Georgian Court, 4:05.36)
Men's 5,000 Meters: Zach Trador (Nyack, 15:26.91)
Men's 10,000 Meters: Zach Trador (Nyack, 32:34.79)
Men's 110-Meter Hurdles: Henry Jean-Michel (Georgian Court, 15.02)
Men's 400-Meter Hurdles: Tyler Davidson (Bloomfield, 56.27)
Men's 3,000-Meter Steeplechase: Zach Trador (Nyack, 10:00.35)
Men's 4x100-Meter Relay: Bloomfield (42.62)
Men's 4x400-Meter Relay: Bloomfield (3:24.81)

TRACK NOTES:
**Nyack College's Zach Trador was one of three individuals who claimed multiple individual titles on the track. He was the lone runner to earn three titles, as he won the 3,000-meter steeplechase, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters. He got his day started with a victory in the 10,000 meters and then turned right around and won the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Late in the day he claimed the championship in the 5,000.

**Bloomfield's MarQuel Davis and Tyler Davidson each claimed a pair of track titles. Davis won the sprints in the 100 and 200 meters, while Davidson claimed the 400 meters and the 400-meter hurdles.

Men's Long Jump: Anthony Zarro (Bloomfield, 23-2 3/4)
Men's Triple Jump: Anthony Zarro (Bloomfield, 46-6 1/4)
Men's Shot Put: Ryan Roger (Georgian Court, 52-8 3/4)
Men's Discus: Darius Marrow (Georgian Court, 154-9)
Men's Hammer: Darius Marrow (Georgian Court, 142-11)
Men's Javelin: Krzysztof Paczesny (Georgian Court, 152-2)

FIELD NOTES:
**Georgian Court made its way to the team championship with an excellent showing in the throws. Several Lions finished among the top three in the various events, including Darius Marrow, who won pair of championships in the discus and hammer.

**Evan Boyce of GCU claimed the Lions' lone jump title of the day with a victory in the pole vault.

**Bloomfield's Anthony Zarro locked up a pair of titles in the jumps, including the long and triple jumps.
