Caldwell's Kaileen Cain Named 2019 Google Cloud/CoSIDA Third-Team Academic All-American

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 5, 2019) -- Caldwell University softball standout Kaileen Cain on Wednesday was named to the 2019 Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team, as announced by the association of collegiate sports information directors. Cain's honor comes a couple weeks after she was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District I First Team.

Cain, a sophomore, earned First-Team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) honors this season and owns a cumulative grade point average of 3.95 in her major of financial economics.

To be eligible for the Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic All-District and All-America Teams, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically, having a GPA of 3.20 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), and be a starter or significant contributor for their respective team.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Bloomfield College, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Concordia (N.Y.) College, Dominican (N.Y.)
