Wilmington & Georgian Court Selected for 2019 NCAA Division II Softball Tournament

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 8, 2019) -- Wilmington University and Georgian Court University will represent the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) at this weekend's 2019 NCAA Division II Softball East Region Tournament. The Wildcats earned the No. 3 seed and will host the East 2 sub-regional this Thursday through Saturday in New Castle, Del. GCU earned the No. 4 seed and will be in the East 1 sub-regional, which will be held at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H.

Wilmington will play host to sixth-seeded Adelphi at 11 a.m., on Thursday, while second-seeded LIU Post and seventh-seeded New Haven will square off in the second game at 1:30 p.m.

Georgian Court will take on fifth-seeded Southern New Hampshire in its first round contest on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. The other first-round matchup in that sub-regional features top-seeded Saint Anselm facing Bridgeport.

The sub-regional championship contests will be held on Saturday and the two champs will square off in the regional final the following weekend at a site to be determined.
