Felician Softball's Steph Donah Named CACC Student-Athlete of the Month for April 2019

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 15, 2019) -- Felician University softball player Steph Donah on Wednesday was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Student-Athlete of the Month for April 2019, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Donah earned the award for demonstrating athletic success during the month, while also being a standout in the classroom and a leader in her surrounding community.

On the softball diamond, Donah earned Second-Team All-CACC honors, while batting .448 during the month with 16 runs scored, stealing six bases and knocking in 12 runs. She also slugged .672 during April. She finished the regular season among the top-10 CACC leaders in batting average (.415), slugging percentage (.626), hits (61) and RBI (33).

For her career, Donah has earned a pair of Second-Team All-CACC accolades, while also being the program's all-time games played leader at 181. Donah also ranks among the top 10 in program history for career hits, doubles, home runs, runs scored and RBI.

Donah, a senior secondary education/science major, owns a cumulative grade point average of 3.42. She was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma College Athlete Honor Society, and is a nominee for the Kappa Delta Phi Education Honor Society.

Donah is also active in engaging her surrounding community through various outreach initiatives. She has served as a volunteer babysitter at Church Alive in Rutherford, and is a volunteer summer camp counselor for children with autism for the Union (N.J.) County Education System Commission. Donah has also served as a volunteer instructor at two softball clinics run by the Felician softball program.

The CACC Student-Athlete of the Month Award is given out each month from September through May, which spans the length of the academic calendar at the conference's 14 member schools. The award is presented to student-athletes who achieve success athletically, academically, and reaches out to the local community through engagement initiatives.
