NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 12, 2018) -- A pair of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) softball standouts this week collected All-America honors from the Fastpitch News (FPN), as announced by the national media outlet. The duo included Georgian Court University's Samantha Reilly being placed on the first team, and Wilmington University's Rosa'Lynn Burton earning second-team status.

Reilly, the 2018  D2CCA East Region Player of the Year, led the Lions through a revival season, going 30-23 overall and a third place finish in the CACC regular season with an 18-8 mark. The slugger leads all of NCAA Division II with a 1.162 slugging percentage while ranking second nationally in home runs (25), walks (47), and on-base percentage (.636). She finished third in the country with 158 total bases and fifth with a .511 batting average and 65 RBI.

A Schutt Sports/NFCA Division II Softball National Player of the Year Top-10 finalist, Reilly also was named the CACC Player of the Year and Georgian Court University's Female Athlete of the Year, while earning selection to the NFCA All-East Region First Team during her impressive campaign.

It marks the second-consecutive season Burton earned All-America status. Burton led the Wildcats and finished second in the CACC with a .470 batting average. Burton led the CACC with 87 hits, 56 runs, and 42 stolen bases while finishing second in the league with seven triples, and a .527 on-base percentage. She was also a First-Team All-CACC honoree.
