WILMINGTON, DE - The Goldey-Beacom College softball team has announced the signing of ToriAnne Davies, Erin Poffenberger and Angelina Myers for the 2009-10 season.

ToriAnne Davies is a second team All-State and first team All-Conference pitcher from Hodgson Vo-Tech. She is also ranked #1 in her high school class. Davies posted a 1.15 ERA the past two high school seasons along with a record of 33-10. She batted .426 and led her team to its first state tournament win in the school’s history.

Erin Poffenberger is a first team ALL-MVAL County player from Frederick High School. She is a two-time MVAL All-Conference catcher and was honored by the Frederick News Post in 2007 and 2008. She has played for the Damascus Hurricanes travel ball organization since 2002. In addition, Poffenberger is also a Maryland Distinguished Scholar and a member of Who’s Who of Academic Excellence.

Angelina Myers is a Berks County standout from Twin Valley High School. She is a three-time secnd team All-Conference player, and participated on the Berks County Carpenter Cup team as a sophomore. She has played for the Delco Diamonds travel ball team for the past three summers.
