RUTHERFORD, N.J. - High-school senior Stephanie Romano of Brick has signed a national letter of intent to continue her softball career at Felician College, Felician head coach Kathy Hill announced today. Romano committed to the Golden Falcons during the NCAA's recently-concluded early-signing period.

Romano, a 5-foot-5 pitcher, was the 2007 team Most Valuable Player for Brick Memorial High. She is also a captain for the Mustangs' swim team.

Romano is also a member of the New Jersey Blue Chips summer team. She intends to major in business administration at Felician.

The NCAA Division II Golden Falcons are coming off a 16-23 won-lost record in 2008 and a seventh-place finish in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. Romano is Felician's first softball commitment for the Class of 2013.
