2023 CACC MTEN All-Conference & Major Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 17, 2023) -- Post University freshman standout James Vincent on Tuesday was named the 2023 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Year, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Vincent, who also earned all-conference honors, garnered the awards from the voting that was conducted by the league's four head coaches in the sport.

In addition to Vincent, Thomas Jefferson University's Norman Patten was named the CACC Coach of the Year for guiding the Rams to a 9-0 conference record and the league's regular season title. Jefferson will be seeking this weekend back-to-back CACC Championships in the sport of men's tennis, as the league's tournament will be conducted this week. Dominican University was named the CACC Men's Tennis Team Sportsmanship Award winner.

Vincent is 8-1 this season, as he has competed entirely at the No. 1 spot in the Eagles' lineup. He is a perfect 5-0 in singles play at the No. 1 spot in CACC matches. He has also teamed up with multiple teammates to post seven doubles victories this season.

All conference and major award winners will be recognized by the conference on Thursday night at the CACC Men's Tennis Championship Banquet in Philadelphia. Jefferson led the way with four student-athletes earning all-conference honors.
