BRONXVILLE, N.Y. (June 18, 2019) – Concordia College New York Director of Athletics Kathy Laoutaris '93 removed the interim tag from Jose Dos Santos, officially naming him the head coach of the men's soccer program.

Guiding the team on an interim basis during the 2018 season, Dos Santos helped the men's soccer program make its fifth appearance in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship since joining the league with a 6-5-1 mark in conference action while mentoring the CACC Rookie of the Year, two All-Conference honorees and five All-Academic recipients.

"We are very excited to remove the Interim tag from Jose," Laoutaris said. "Jose has done a great job at the helm of the team.  We are looking forward to a great 2019 soccer season."

Concordia's 32 goals during the 2018 campaign tied for the ninth-most in program history while its 88 total points (32 goals, 24 assists) placed fifth in the CACC.

Dos Santos arrived to Concordia prior to the 2017 season as an assistant coach, serving the role for one year before stepping in as the interim head coach.

Along with his duties at Concordia, Dos Santos coaches for the Westchester Flames FC, PDL and Clubs. Working with the Flames since 2009, he has guided the club to six championships over the last two seasons with the EDP Winter Classic and EDP Premier League II titles in 2018.

No stranger to the Empire State, Dos Santos was a three-year letterman at New York Tech. He etched his name in the Bear's record books his first season on campus, recording the seventh-most points in a single season with 34 en route to New York Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team distinction. His 25 career goals and 59 points rank sixth and seventh in program history, respectively.
