Wilmington & Post Earn Bids to NCAA Division II Men's Soccer East Region Tournament

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 5, 2018) -- Wilmington University and Post University each earned bids to the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer East Region Tournament on Monday night, as announced by the national organization on its selection show. WilmU earned the No. 5 seed in the six-team regional, while Post was slotted in the No. 6 spot.

Wilmington, which earned an at-large bid to the NCAAs, will face fourth-seeded Le Moyne College from the Northeast-10 Conference on Friday at 1 p.m., in the first round on the Adelphi University campus. A WilmU win on Friday would enable the Wildcats to face Adelphi on Sunday in the second round.

Post reached the NCAAs by earning the automatic bid from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), as the Eagles won the league's championship final over the Wildcats on Sunday by a count of 2-0. Post will take on third-seeded Mercy College (East Coast Conference) on Thursday at 1 p.m., on the LIU-Post campus. A Post victory would ensure the Eagles taking on the Pioneers in the second round on Saturday.
