NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Post University senior forward Joe Bacciello (Stratford, Conn.) repeats as Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men’s Soccer Player and his mentor Ted Haley collected his third-straight Coach of the Year honor as announced today by the conference office.  Caldwell College’s Haakon Sulheim (Lillehammer, Norway) was tabbed as Rookie of the Year and Goldey-Beacom College was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award for the fourth-consecutive year.

Bacciello has led the Eagles to the highest national ranking in program history, which is currently #6 in the most recent NSCAA report.  In 15 regular season games, the senior forward recorded 11 goals, including nine in conference contests (2nd, CACC) and three assists.  Of Bacciello’s 11 goals, six proved to be game-winners, including five in conference.  He led the conference in both categories.

Sulheim tied for the conference lead in goals over 17 regular season contests with 16, including nine in conference play (4th).  Four of those goals were game-winners (2nd).  His 32 points in overall contests was good for second in the conference and his 18 counters was fifth in league play.

Haley has mentored the Eagles to its current #6 ranking, including a 14-1-1 regular season mark.  Post ended the regular season with a 12-0-1 record over its last 13 games, including a 1-0 win over the then #1 team in the country LIU-Post on October 23.  The Eagles ripped of an 11-game winning streak to end the conference slate in 2013.

Joining Baccielo and Sulheim on the CACC All-Conference First Team were Elton Joe of Wilmington University, Jorge Zubillaga and Sony Narro of Dominican College; Felix Horn of Nyack College; Angelo Dambalas of Philadelphia University; and Jean Louis Cadet, Kevin Ipina, Ani Lekaj and Andre Lindsay of Post.
