Thirteen Student-Athletes Named to 2016-17 CACC Men's Basketball All-Academic Team

2016-17 CACC MEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM (COMPLETE LIST OF HONOREES)

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 30, 2017) -- Thirteen student-athletes on Thursday were named to the 2016-17 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara.

In order to be named to the CACC Men's Basketball All-Academic Team, recipients must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester of 2016.

Eight of the 13 on the list were multiple honorees, as five were named to the all-academic team for the third time, while three others garnered their second accolade. Georgian Court University's Luka Zgonjanin was the lone student-athlete to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Philadelphia University led the way with three honorees, including Winston Folkes, Andre Gibbs and Mike Louden. Felician University, Post University and University of the Sciences each had two honorees.
