CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell College senior forward Manny Perez (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) was chosen to the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association's weekly Honor Roll for the week ending Feb. 1, the MBWA announced today. This is the second week in a row and fourth time this season on the Honor Roll for Perez, who registered back-to-back 24-point games last week.

Perez went 10-of-16 from the field en route to 24 points and grabbed six rebounds in a loss at Post University on Jan. 27. He then tallied 24 points, eight rebounds and four steals while making 14-of-19 from the free throw line at Dominican College on Jan. 29. For the week, Perez made 53.6 percent of his field goal attempts and 72.0 percent from the charity stripe.

A three-time all-Met honoree, Perez leads the Cougars in scoring and rebounding, averaging 18.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. He leads the CACC in field goal percentage at 56.2 percent while ranking second in scoring and fourth in rebounding.

Each week the MBWA chooses a Player of the Week from among the nearly 75 colleges and universities in the tri-state area. All players who receive votes for Player of the Week are named to the Honor Roll. Last week Perez made the MBWA Honor Roll and was named both CACC and ECAC Co-Player of the Week after averaging 27.0 points and 12.5 rebounds in two wins.
