NEW HAVEN, Conn. (July 26, 2019) -- Dominican College has been chosen as the host school for the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf Championship, which will be staged Oct. 6-8, at White Beeches Country Club in Haworth, N.J. The Chargers will host the tournament, as they look to defend their conference title which they captured at Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, Del., last October.

The site was approved by the CACC Directors Council, which is comprised of the 14 athletic directors in the conference. White Beeches is a par 72 course at a length of 6,556. Sunday, Oct. 6, will feature a practice round for the nine schools that compete in the sport. The CACC Championship Banquet will be held on Sunday night on the eve of the first round, which will get underway on Monday morning, Oct. 7. The tournament will conclude with the final round on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Dominican captured the CACC crown last fall, as the Chargers carded a two-round total of 596 (+36). DC shot a 298 during each round of the two-day tournament. Post University's Matthieu Sicard won the individual title with a two-round total of 142 (+2).

The winner of the 2019 CACC Men's Golf Championship will capture the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Super Regional Tournament, which will be held in early May. Four CACC golf programs qualified for the NCAA Division II Super Regional, as Dominican, Wilmington University, Post University and Concordia College all qualifed for the prestigious event.
