NEWARK, Del. (October 1, 2018) -- Dominican College shot its second-consecutive 298 (+18) during Monday's final round to capture the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf Championship at Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, Del. The Chargers finished with a two-day total of 596 (+36).

Post's Matthieu Sicard shot a 70 (E) during Monday's final round to win the CACC individual championship.

Post University's Matthieu Sicard logged an ever-par, 70, on Monday to claim the CACC's individual crown with a two-round total of 142 (+2). His individual championship came after a furious battle down the stretch with Dominican's Danny Parker, as the two were neck and neck all afternoon. Parker held a one-stroke lead over Sicard after 15 holes, but the latter birdied both 16 and 17 to finish a stroke ahead of the Charger in the final standings. Parker concluded with a two-day total of 143 (+3), as he shot an even-par 70 on Sunday and followed with his 73 on Monday.

Sicard's individual championship came after a rough start on the front nine during Sunday's first round, as he was five over par after nine holes. However, he responded by going three under on the back nine to card an opening-round 72 (+2) before shooting his 70 on Monday.

Parker was the highest finisher for the Chargers, who ended Wilmington University's string of eight-consecutive CACC team championships. Two other Chargers finished among the top 10 of the individual standings, including Hunter Wescott (T-7th) with a score of 150, highlighted by a three-over, 73, on Monday. Bryce Tickner tied for 10th with a two-day mark of 151 (+11), including a 75 on Monday. Josh Farmer tied for 12th at +12 (152), while Sebastian Armas was tied for 31st at 162 (+22).

Both Sicard and Parker earned CACC All-Tournament Team honors for finishing among the top five of the individual standings. The other standouts to earn all-tournament accolades included WilmU's Ryan Rucinski in third place (145, +5), and Chestnut Hill College's Jakob Lemieux and Felician University's Jake Storako tied for fourth with identical scores of 148 (+8). Rucinski shot a one-over, 71, on Monday and capped his collegiate career in the CACC Championship by finishing among the top-five of the individual standings all four years.
