Concordia's Minwoo Park Named GCAA Honorable-Mention All-American

NORMAN, Okla. (June 19, 2018) – Concordia College freshman Minwoo Park (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) has been named a National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA) Division II PING All-America Honorable Mention as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday. Park is the first-ever GCAA NCAA Division II PING All-America Honorable Mention for the Concordia men's golf program since their first season of competition during the 2010-11 academic year.

Park was previously named a GCAA NCAA Division II PING All-Region Team selection in May as he earned two top-10 finishes this fall before having an impressive spring season that saw him capture the NCAA Division II Atlantic / East Super Regional Individual title with a nine-under performance in three rounds of play.

Minwoo earned three top-10 finishes to close out the regular season as his medalist in the super regionals allowed him to earn a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championship at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at the Shoals, Fighting Joe Course in Muscle Shoals, Ala. Park was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf Rookie of the Week on Sept. 7th and Sept. 27th, and was the CACC Men's Golf Rookie of the Month on May 7th.
