Wilmington’s Daniel Ott Named CACC Golfer of the Year, Post’s Anthony Netto Honored as CACC Rookie of the Year

Lafayette Hill, Pa. (April 10, 2012) – Wilmington University's Daniel Ott (Pilesgrove, N.J.) was recognized as the 2012 Central Atlantic Athletic Conference (CACC) Golf Player of the Year at the CACC Golf Banquet, which was held at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club on Monday night.

Post's Anthony Netto (Dusseldorf, Germany) was named the CACC Rookie of the Year, while Wilmington head coach Harry Jennings was honored as the CACC Coach of the Year.

Joining Ott and Netto on the 2012 All-CACC Golf Team, which is chosen based on the GolfStat rankings, is Paul Tighe (Wilmington), Ross Earnshaw (Post), Thomas Rees (Post), Scott Davidson (Wilmington), Andrew Baldo (Wilmington), Patrick McRae (Goldey-Beacom), Sam Deitte (Concordia) and Jeff Whiteside (Goldey-Beacom).

Ott led all players with a ranking of 130 out of all Division II golfers and posted an average round score of 73.90.  Tighe followed with a 174 ranking and a average round of 74.30.

The 2012 CACC Golf Championship wraps up tomorrow with the second and final round of play from the Whitemarsh Country Club.  Wilmington leads Post by five strokes entering the final day of competition.
